SXSW 2012 is drawing to a close, and I’m happy to report that the panel I put together with Jacob Bijani, Tom Dale, Majd Taby, and Matthew Delaney seems to have been well received. The Twitter backchannel (that bane of many a SXSW presenter) was generally quite approving—even despite the distraction caused by a bat that apparently flew around the rafters during our discussion.

It was my first time moderating a panel, and our incredibly smart panelists definitely gave me a run for my money. I learned a lot, and I hope to have more opportunities to facilitate interesting discussions in the future.

People have been asking me to post the slide deck we used throughout the discussion, so here is a PDF of it (with a few additions and clarifications) for anyone interested. I don’t have any notes for it, so you’ll have to read between the lines a bit if you weren’t there, but hopefully it’ll give you the general idea.
