Ian Matthews: “These Days”
Almost every time I eat lunch at Frankie’s Spuntino on the Lower East Side, I’m compelled to fire up Shazam at least once to figure out what awesome-but-obscure song is playing. The other day this beautiful, folk/country cover of Nico’s “These Days” by Ian Matthews came on (someone at the LES Frankie’s seems to really favor alt-country), and I was impressed how well Matthews’ interpretation suits the song.
